Gerald Gifford pursues an international career as an organ and harpsichord
recitalist and recording artist, with more than 60 CDs to his credit.
As well as fulfilling numerous engagements in the United Kingdom, he
has also recently played in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland,
Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the USA. He was a member of
the Professorial staff of the Royal College of Music, London, for thirty
years (teaching organ and harpsichord and also holding the appointment
of Head of Postgraduate Academic Studies), and was also Fellow and Director
of Studies in Music at Wolfson College, Cambridge for part of that time.
He is Honorary Keeper of Music at The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge,
and a Visiting Lecturer in Performance Practice in the Music Faculty

Mezinárodní profesní dráha Geralda Gifforda je zaměřena na varhaní a
cembalovou recitaci, kdy má umělec na svém kontě nahráno více než 60
CD. Plnící své závazky jak ve Spojeném Království, koncertoval zároveň

Gerald Gifford heeft een rijke internationale solo carrière opgebouwd
als orgel- en klavecimbelspeler en heeft meer dan 60 CD opnames op zijn
naam staan. Naast veelvuldige optredens in het Verenigd Koninkrijk,
heeft hij recentelijk ook voorstellingen gegeven in de Verenigde Staten,
Ierland, Italie, Oostenrijk, Tsjechie en Nederland. Gerald is ondermeer
werkzaam geweest in het Royal College of Music te London, alwaar hij
gedurende 30 jaren als Hoofd van post-academische studies les gaf in
orgel en klavecimbel. Daarnaast is Gerald ook Fellow en Director of
Studies in Music aan het Wolfson College, te Cambridge (UK). Gerald

Gerald Gifford poursuit une carrière internationale comme organiste
et claveciniste. Il a déjà enregistré plus de soixante CDs. En plus
de nombreux engagements au Royaume-Uni, il a joué récemment en Autriche,
Allemagne, Irlande, Italie, Suisse, aux Pays-Bas, en République tchèque
et aussi aux Etats-Unis. Il a été pendant 30 ans Professeur de clavecin
et d’orgue au Royal College of Music de Londres et pendant X ans Directeur
des études de musique au Wolfson College de Cambridge. Il est Conservateur
Honoraire des collections de musique du Fitzwilliam Museum de Cambridge
et Maitre de Conférences invité en pratique de la musique à l’UFR de
